
Karl L. Ely, CAE
As member of the executive team at ASAE, Karl Ely directed the business development activities of the organization, including the Associations Now brands digital presence and subsidiary publications; the Alliance Partnership program activities; and the Industry Partner Alliance Committee, among others.
With thirty plus years of experience in association management, Ely has led key initiatives in the growth of the organization, through mergers, CEO changeovers, and challenges from recessions and the recent pandemic. Most recently, he oversaw the redevelopment of digital publishing and sponsorship revenue and regularly contributes his expertise to member organizations. He has recently transitioned to an advisory role for associations and industry partner organizations.
Ely is active in numerous trade and networking groups in hospitality, technology, and business services and is a past board member of the National Capital Area Council Boy Scouts of America and Destinations International. As a CAE professional, he regularly consults with fellow associations on publishing and strategic partnership projects. In addition to numerous mentoring stints for emerging talents, Ely has served as a panelist and content contributor for a host of partnership and non-dues revenue seminars.

Mathew Diamond
Mathew Diamond was managing Director of Content Management Corporation when he joined Martin through an amalgamation of their two firms in 1995. Together they built Content Management Corporation to serve the global Association community and publishing online education for well over 300 of the world’s most prestigious associations. Matthew was intimately involved in all aspects of the organization including strategy, product development, human resource development as well as business development.
After selling the company Mathew was Sr Vice President of Partnerships at Multiview (acquirer) for 3 years.
Prior to his involvement in the association space Mathew had run a digital media agency which served the Canadian corporate marketplace from approximately 1989 to 1994. Prior to that Mathew was Director of European sales for a very fast-growing computer peripheral manufacturer called Lanpar technologies.
Mathew earned his Hons BBA degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, has had numerous volunteer roles and has a strong passion for working with small start-up, SME organizations.

Martin Copeland
Martin Copeland was the Managing Director of Content Management Corporation with offices throughout North America. Copeland was honored with the most coveted award for CSAE (Canadian Society of Association Executives) National business members, the John Griner Award in 1992. As well, he was business member of the year for the Toronto Chapter of CSAE, served on the Board of Directors for Tourism Toronto, is a past Chair of the Foundation for Association Research and Education as well as a past President of the International Society of Communication Specialists.
Content Management was acquired by Multiview, a Warburg Pincus company, in 2011. Copeland remained for 2 years on a management contract as a SVP of Multiview. Multiview has 688 employees and generates in excess of 100 million dollars in sales a year.
Over the past 38 years, Content Management Corporation (CMC) has embraced technology and today deals with hundreds of Associations throughout North America. CMC delivers education through “Virtual Learning Centers” which provides organizations with a platform to deliver e-Learning, live Event capture and dissemination, webcasts and Webinars. Their added ability to provide the tools for on-line testing, evaluations and CE tracking makes the Virtual Learning Centre a very effective platform that results in increasing membership and attendees and providing added member services, non-dues revenue and expense reduction for Associations. Multiview generates its revenue by selling electronic advertising around educational content, on-line Buyers Guides and News briefs for Associations.
